Where is GrubTub located?

We launch from the lovely Padanaram Harbor in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Your booking includes easy dock access and nearby parking, so arriving by land is effortless.

Who drives the boat?

Anyone 21 or older can drive the GrubTub, but first, you’ll complete a quick instruction session covering boat operation and safety. We’ll walk you through how to steer, use the throttle, and follow safety rules so you feel confident on the water. Remember, the driver must stay sober — no alcohol or drugs allowed while operating the boat.

How much does it cost?

Do you provide the ice and propane?

Yes! We supply fresh ice for the ice bucket option and propane ready to grill for the BBQ setup. Just bring your food and drinks, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Can I swim off the boat?

Absolutely! When anchored in approved areas, you’re welcome to swim and enjoy the water. Each GrubTuB is equipped with a swim ladder for easy entry and exit. For everyone’s safety, please make sure the motor is turned off whenever anyone is in the water.

Where can I go with the GrubTub?

You can cruise anywhere on the north side of the Padanaram Bridge, including the harbor and water sports area. It’s a large zone with plenty of room to explore or anchor. Just remember to follow all standard boating safety rules—stay clear of rocky areas and beaches, and always navigate responsibly.

What is the "Concert Night" rental?

Concert Night is a special evening rental event every Wednesday, timed perfectly for the Apponagansett Concert Series at Padanaram Harbor. Enjoy live music while cruising or anchored in the bay.

What is the age requirement?

Children ages 4+ are welcome as passengers on the GrubTub, but the operator must be 21 or older and ready to show a valid ID upon arrival. This helps us keep everyone safe and follows our local boating laws.

How many people can come on a Grub Tub?

Each GrubTub can safely accommodate 6-8 guests. Since we have two boats available, larger groups can rent both, allowing us to host up to 16 people at once.
